Christian Church of Soisson (Tabarre)

The church is located on the Tabarre route leading to Petion-Ville, which is known as the elite town of Haiti. The situation at Soisson is a vivid example of the social contrast between the rich and the very poor. Not far from the church, you find the people that posses most of Haiti's wealth, but you go into the church and find another ramification of poverty. The members of the church have been trying hard for a long time to finish the building they have contributed to build. But their efforts seem to be lost in a vast ocean of needs.

Pastor Dormay has made a plea to any generous Christian giver to remember the church of Soisson. The have been able to put half of the roof on the church and the rest is in the open air. When it rains they cannot have a church service because of this problem.

If you meet pastor Dormay you will want to be around all the time. He just has the joy of the Lord glowing all over his face and he won't quit making you laugh.
