If you are a regular visitor to our website, you probably noticed the addition of the ChildVision sponsorship program earlier this summer. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to personally make a world of a difference in the life of a needy Haitian child.

Through the ChildVision program, you are able to personally sponsor a Haitian child. Your monthly contributions make it possible for your child to receive a quality Christian education in GVCM's schools. Your contributions also allow us to establish a feeding program at those schools, so the children also receive a hot meal every day. For many of the children, this is the only food they will receive that day.

GVCM has actually been ministering to Haitian children in this way for years through certain church partners, who have helped make this program available to their church families. The generosity of these families has been such a blessing to these children that we wanted to expand the program. GVCM created the ChildVision program to make child sponsorship available nationwide.

The response was immediate and has been very encouraging, as families and individuals all over the country offer to sponsor the children week after week. But with over 5,000 children waiting in line to be sponsored, we continue to look for new ways to let people know about this program, and pray that the Lord would provide new sponsors.

One of the most wonderful things about this program is that it is a personal ministry. As a sponsor, you know that you are personally contributing to the welfare of your child, and giving him a chance for a better future. With no public school system, this is the only opportunity your child would have for an education. It also gives them the opportunity to learn about the Bible and the eternal promise of salvation that is available to them. Through the ChildVision program, we hope to restore the hope these children need to survive the harsh and desparate conditions in which they live.

We want to encourage you to visit the ChildVision page on the GVCM website, and consider sponsoring a child. It takes so little that it is within the reach of almost anyone, but many of our sponsors partner with their friends and family to sponsor a child, making the cost even smaller. Some of our children are also sponsored by Sunday School classes who simply take up a collection each week ... and end up sponsoring multiple children, since it takes so very little.

Just write, call, or Email us at the addresses at the end of this note, and we would be happy to send you brochures and other literature. If even one member of your church saw these and decided to sponsor a child, at least that child would have a chance at a better future!

We would also like to ask you to take a moment to pray for us in this effort ... that the Lord would bless it and use it to bring glory to Him, that it would become a valuable evangelistic tool for bringing salvation to the people of Haiti, and that He would bless the sponsors of these children for their love and generosity.
