Happy Thanksgiving
Dear friends and supporters of GVCM:
What a season to remember ... when many came over to this wonderful land of America
to profess their faith in Jesus Christ without fear of being persecuted. To remember that
the Lord took care of them is to have the greatest opportunity to reflect on His
faithfulness and love, because He has extended that same care to you and me. He has
been faithful!
GVCM has many reasons to thank our God this year. Please join with me in a thankful
attitude as we remember some of the things He has done:
- For Jesus and the salvific provision that we all benefit from through His eternal Sacrifice.
- For you, our faithful supporters and partners in prayer.
- For preserving this country, the USA, and keeping it strong even in times of many difficulties.
- For providing for the flood victims in Louisiana and preserving the church of my friend Rick Grover in New Orleans.
- For Five Oaks community Church in St Paul, Minnesota, for pouring many thousands of dollars and just as many hours into the construction of our orphanage in Fedja, as well as their willingness to send a construction crew to the site.
- For all the goods that were sent by different churches for the flood victims.
- For the money that donated by many of our friends and churches to build houses for the flood victims
- For three medical trips that resulted n many people being healed.
- For a combined trip between Westlink and Westside Christian Church to deliver Christmas Love Bags to our Haitian children.
- For Wilsey Christian Church, who blessed the Community of Morene with a well from which they can now drink good water.
- For progress made in the construction of the twin towers because of blessings from Patrick Faast and Westlink Christian Church.
- For Bruce Thacker and Shelton Christian Church and their willingness to go to Haiti to start the TNET program that is currently training many pastors in Haiti
- For our annual Board meeting in Atlanta, which was very productive under the direction of our president, Wayne Johnson.
- For Aaron and Sara Maus making preparations to travel to Haiti to administer the Fedja orphanage.
- For Sabrina and Oswald getting married and their willingness to return to Haiti soon and take charge of the Fedja adoption process for GVCM.
- For the official recognition of our orphanage by the Haitian Department of Welfare.
- For Martha Smallwood and Larry Wren of Westlink Christian Church for starting the Church Planters program with GVCM, which intends to plant hundreds of churches throughout Haiti.
- For our new Board Members, Mike Mularoni and Van Elliott, as well as Lee Ellen Elliott, and the wonderful work they all have done.
- For Cherokee Hill Christian Church and the donation they made to start the foundation of a church building for the Beudoret church, which is being evicted from the meeting place they rent.
- For Central Christian Church in Wichita, Kansas, and Woodland Christian church in Divide, Colorado, for the increase in support to GVCM.
- For First Baptist Church of Camdenton, Missouri, for sponsoring Haitian children through the ChildVision Program.
- For the great blessing received from IDES to help us feed our school children.
- For this ministry growing every day and the multitudes that are being added to the kingdom even as you read this.
- For the Haitian pastors who work tirelessly to continue to present Jesus as the only alternative to a nation crippled under the yoke of the evil one.
- For Christ Church of Denver and their strong stand behind the church of Thomassique to make it our biggest congregation in Haiti.
- For Moscow Christian Church and the strong school support they provide to the church in Fond Frede to make it the strongest school program in GVCM.
- For allowing for the on-going training of our pastors in Haiti.
- For God protecting Yvon and all of our workers and visitors in Haiti, as we labor many times directly in harms way.
- For the United Nations for supporting GVCM with construction services evaluated at over $700K.
- For Cumberland Christian Church for blessing our children with Christmas Shoeboxes this year.
- For the Lord sparing our lives during the hurricanes in Florida.
- For my biological mother, Rose, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor and told she would die 7 years ago, who continues to get better every day through the fervent prayers of the saints in Thomassique, being cured of her headaches and walking instead of crippled in a wheelchair.
- For so many other things, but above all and foremost, for the hope that we have that someday we will all assemble around Him for an Eternal feast with His son and His angels.
To all of you who have been diligent in promoting the great work of the Lord here, in Haiti, and elsewhere ... through GVCM and many other organizations and churches ... we wish you all ...
HAPPY THANKSGIVING
WITH LOVE TO ALL OF YOU!
