Global Vision Citadelle Ministries GVCM
Dear Friends,

The refreshing season of Christmas is here again, and we want to take the time to celebrate our Savior and Lord Jesus for giving us the undeniable assurance of an everlasting communion with the Father, and to thank you for having been such a vital part of the seven years of Global Vision Ministries’ existence with the kingdom in mind.

Yes, seven years of experience that we would exchange for nothing. Seven years of learning what it means to be patient and to wait on the Lord, seven years of being the recipient of your loving kindness, seven years of watching your faithfulness to the commitment you made to help us carry the weight of this ministry.

Yes, it has been seven years of building the kind of friendship and love that have kept us focused on serving our master together. For seven years we have felt the spirit of Christmas in you as you keep providing for God’s work to go on in Haiti, and for God’s people to be blessed. For seven years you have equipped us to do God’s work God’s way and you made sure that it never lacked God’s supplies.

Over seven years we can only name a sprinkle out of the great number of things the Lord has accomplished through our combined efforts. So many of you have fed directly or indirectly thousands of people in Haiti, thousands have left voodoo to accept spiritual rebirth under the protective umbrella of the saving grace of our Lord in Haiti; A great number of places of worship and schools are under construction, many of our orphan children have felt loved when they were held by many of you who have been to Haiti, many of you have challenged yourselves into taking mission trips and witnessed to the Haitian people, so many have received medical help from our American nurses and doctors, so many pastors and hundreds of school teachers have been able to count on a monthly salary, thousands of children are getting an education to guarantee them a future, so many thousands of Christmas Shoeboxes have been collected from church members and friends all over the US, so many thousands of children in Haiti are going to exhibit the most joyful smile when our missionary friends from the U.S. and Canada start going from village to village delivering those gifts, and so much joy to celebrate our victory over the forces of darkness. Thank you for continuing to join with us in believing that this ministry exists out of a higher calling.

We continue to face many challenges as the somber color that has been painting Haiti is still morose. It does not make it any easier for us promoting the work of the Lord in a country which is the poorest in the western Hemisphere, a country where the practices of corruption refuse to give up, a country where the forces of evil still think they can succeed in destroying the salvific plan of God for the Haitian soul, a country where social, academic, and spiritual insecurity keep creating a destructive psychology for the Haitian soul and humanity, a country where both infrastructure and superstructure are non-existent. But we have been convicted about the truth that even in a country like that God as claimed many souls. We will be there to fin those souls for the Lord. Your constant love, your thoughtfulness, and your surprises of delight, combined with the strength we receive from above have given us the courage to endure the present and the hope to press on towards the goal. In this battle, the kingdom of our God has been declared the winner! We have clearly received the message of Christmas that we are not alone, Emmanuel and you are with us. Thank you for being part of the winning team.

Please pray for me and my family as we are facing many personal challenges:

Steve turned 14 in October and Marc is 12 turned in May. They continue to enjoy school and we praise God that they have been counted among the honor roll children. Four years ago when they moved with Samathe from French Canada they could only speak French. Now they only want to speak English.

Samathe is struggling with her knees and may have to undergo a surgery for knee replacement sometime. Her doctor has injected cortisone into the knee join, and that has given her a bit of relief, but it will not last. Her English has improved beyond expectation and she is trying to get into nursing school so that she can be a nurse to the children when we return again full time to Haiti.

I have traveled a lot for the ministry this year, but it has been nice knowing that I can go back home where my family is. For ten years I endured the nightmare of living in Haiti while they lived in Canada (long story). I have found a nice combination serving my God through the ministry and taking care of my family.

Pray for my ministry partner Yvon Selin as he continues to face the challenge of being the field director in Haiti and a husband and father in Boston.

Pray for our Board of Directors as they seek direction from the Lord in order to provide the path of light GVCM will always need to ensure that things are done God’s way.

Pray for our staff both in Haiti and the U.S. that God will provide for their needs.

Pray for our other missionary friends in Haiti that the Lord will provide for good harvests of souls as they continue to plant the seed of life on Haitian hearts.

And may God fill your life with His presence, His love, His joy, and His peace this Christmas and throughout the New Year.

Merry Christmas and
have a Happy New Year!

Yves, Samathe, Steve and Marc

For His glory,

    Yves
